What country makes easy brain scans the AT LEAST show the brain has something wrong/ different.

It's impossible to do scans in Canada, I suspect it's only about money that they refuse.

EDIT : I asked a medical secretary if the reason why I can't be scanned is that it's more expensive than letting me try medications until I die, and she said she believes the same thing than me.

Brain scans not done for diagnosis in Uk as not necessary. There is very clear clinical guidance (NICE) for diagnosis and treatment based on symptoms.

Researchers here simply don't think Brain Scans contribute to understanding ADHD and depression and conditions like that. Daniel Amen has popularized the idea of Brain Spects, but he hasn't convinced many people in the science and medical community.

amenclinics.com/locations/ is a good place to start. I wish I was in the US and could get this done.

I also don't believe you can detect adhd with a brain scan, but I hit my head hard and was never checked for that, and the following years were the ones where I thought the most I had adhd. A brain scan could show something that will DISMISS taking medication for a lifetime. That is more of my logics. Also, my trust in every kind of doctors went very low, when a neuropsychologist who said I have mild ADHD recommended to read and watch everything RUSSELL BARKLEY does. I did, and I stop when I found an article where Russel Barkley says neuropsychological testing for adhd ain't worth shit.

Barkley has done some great work, but he seems pretty rigid and absolutist by nature. Having said that, I found that neuropsych testing for my son (twice) focused more on implications for academic work than emotional issues.
