Hi all. I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing I have with adderall. I was taking it daily February-end of June, (15mg XR) but have been more on and off with it during summer. It used to bring out my best qualities/allow me to focus/helped me with overstimulation issues etc. I LOVED it, like changed my life for the better loved it. Now, whenever I take it it makes me feel sick. Brain fog/feels like I had too much caffeine, extremely short fused and aggressive, makes me feel just BLEH. My dosage is the same, and I have not changed to another generic brand or anything like that. Has anyone else had this? Any tips or advice would be extremely appreciated!

Hello, may I ask how long you have taken it? It could be the extended release. Your body is probably building up a tolerance for it. I would try to switch to 20mg tablets or up your dosage. Your more than likely feeling blah because the dosage isnt high enough or the extended release just isnt working for you anymore. Sounds odd but I have heard numerous people say they switched from xr to tablets and its a huge difference. My son is on the 20mg tablet, unfortunately he gets irritable and emotional whenever it starts to wear off. We tried vyvance but it didnt work, although ive heard great things about it!
My suggestion is to not be off or on it. If on it take it regularly that makes a difference. Could try a higher strength. If it gives the same symptoms might have to switch. I hear Vyvanse works well. Or Azstarys a new prodrug just hit the market on the Methylphenidate side. Many are saying side effects are less than others.
There ARE alternatives to adderall if you find the right psyhiatrist/counselor combo. Keep searching. Can take a life time in the land of big pharma
