Can anyone help and lead me with getting methylphenidate abroad, please? Because of covid19 I’ve stucked in Uk and ran off my pills now completely… I’ve asked local medicals and they’ve put me in waiting list for to be checked in mental clinic… but it’s been months now and still no movement… I’m really struggling. I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 20th… after was regulary on medication and after 33 on methylphenidate (several brands) which actually very helped me… but now Im so struggling. Had already some accident with police even because of my disorder, but even that didn’t make doctors help me quicker with tests.. please could anyone help me with advice or anything. Where and how can I get medication before local doctors finally make their tests done. Sorry, to bothering … I’m just so… broken … want to be normal again. I got used to function normal on last years of medication and now to go back in total adhd uncontrollkng brain … it’s smashed me totally

Hi Natalya, what is your home country?

Are you still required to stay in the UK even at this time? It sounds to me like this issue might be enough to consider moving back so that you can access the medical help you need (I would be very surprised if you can't move back even now!)

Other than that all I could suggest would be to try to get a phone appointment with your home doctor to see if they're able to help you out or refer you to resources/methods to access.

Thank u for ur reply. I can’t really come back to home from uk (it’s too expensive and complicated with flights, tests and my kids, and my husband who are Uk citizens. I’ve been here last 3 years and all was fine because I just all got prescribed medications from homeland, but now it’s not so easy too because everything became so strict on the boarders gosh! Yes, I’m trying to get home doc to help me at least with something before these tests could be done. But unfortunately all she can -prescribe simple antidepressants: like paroxetine… doesn’t really help me. That’s why I started to ask people with the same diagnosis here, may be some way could find before can get it officially in uk

Okay, hopefully someone in the UK can help you! Or maybe others from your home country (US? ) have similar experiences to share! Best of luck!
