Non stimulant treatment for ADD

Has anyone ever treated ADD with Wellbutrin xr? I was recently prescribed as non stimulant treatment and wanting to see if anyone has has good or bad experience with this.

This might be "out there" when considering medication options... As in I don't think it's recommended medically but when I took chantix 10 years ago to stop smoking, the unexpected side effects were, no anxiety and no adhd symptoms.

I could literally sit for 4 hrs and do my work with minimal distraction.. I was successfully performing in a job that historically would not have gone well. because I was an Administrative Law Judge, conducting unemployment Hearing on the phone while being recorded, swearing people in, cross examination, validating evidence and writing up my decisions...like a mini lawyer who never went to law school.

It was the best Nonstimulate medication ever.. I would put this in every online review I could find...hoping they would run some tests...

It literally changed my brain chemistry, because to this day, I can't believe I ever was a smoker, much less a 25 yr Committed smoker...who knew I would always smoke when I drank, and I haven't even thought about smoking again.

And my ADHD was better for a long time, and I stopped drinking for 6 months and never have gone back to excessive drinking since then.

If it wasn't 500.00 month I would still be on it.
