PMS + Determined to turn diagnosis into a success story, but I don’t know where to start.

I was diagnosed ADHD just over a year ago and was taking Wellbutrin which helped a lot. My psychiatrist went AWOL during lockdown and I stopped taking meds. My plan is to meet with a new provider next week to get back on meds, problem is I get really bad PMS. Does anyone have any experience with adjusting dosage during the Luteal phase of cycle? I seriously wish sometimes, I could be perpetually pregnant, because that was when I was at my best.

I just started my period which has lifted the brain fog, this past week has been hellish I ended a 10 year + friendship with a best friend who wasn’t returning my calls, and exploded at another friend during a disagreement. My house is a mess, I’m all over the place at work, I can’t hide my distress, and I’ve been late for almost everything (since forever) more so this week, this is affecting my daughters schooling too. I feel so much shame and disappointment. I was managing well until something disrupted my routine, that was three weeks ago.

I know I need to take baby steps to get back on track, but I feel so overwhelmed by it all, and have no idea where to start.

I was diagnosed with PMDD (see: womenshealth.gov/menstrual-... - essentially, an extremely bad version of PMS. I did increase my anti-depressant during the 2 weeks prior to my period and I have been AMAZED at the effect this had on my mood and relationships.

I was also diagnosed with PMDD. I dread the monthly chaos 😔
