I need a good MD in Berkeley Area

I have had untreated ADHD all my life! The nuns used to throw me in a closet for 30 minutes when I was too busy. In the 60's and 70's no one knew what this was! Not until 1991 after my son was born did I know what the hell was wrong with me. In the 80's I discovered cocaine which got me running like a machine. I was a hospital admin. I went to school in premed, taught Radiology classes, worked in a trauma center in San Francisco, had a patient on PCP and Heroin break my back and continued until 1993 when my back completely went. My husband was the one who noticed that my father had ADD and I was the overachiever and took care of everyone. I also worked at SFO as a air disaster team member. SO, I worked to the point of burnout. Now COVID has made me nuts. I feel like a bird in a cage. I cannot be with people, have to be on zoom and that's not my MO. So, I am looking for a good Psychiatrist in the Berkeley area.

My son has ADD and we also cannot find the correct MD. He was born premie and died twice. He has TBI-traumatic brain injury and has Trisomy #8 mosaic. 5 % abnormal cells. But the ADD is a big issue where he hyperfocus's. He was mis diagnosed with Autism then Pre- dementia. I am very disillusioned with the medical world at this point. I trained in 1977 during AIDS and know World renown MD's but in AIDS. I need someone that understands medications and the type

UC Berkeley. Check out if they have a medical center or private insurance

providers. Call NAMI psychiatric hotline

but remember when U get on phone tell them what U need right away. Some of them

sit and just listen. Be proactive and state

what U need. Call the Didi Hirsch

Mental Health center in Los Angeles. They’ve been around 4 over 50 years.
