Citalopram and Adderall
Hello, Berna_430~
Welcome to the group! I do not take that combination myself, so I went to the medicine net to look up any possible side effects of taking these combined. Here's what they have to say about it:
medicinenet.com/citalopram/...
Currently, I take paroxetine for depression, and focalin (the generic) for ADHD. I'm fortunate to have a good doctor, and we talked about interaction of different medications before she proscribed my focalin.
I do take my focalin with my breakfast in the morning. And, I take my paroxetine in the evening before bedtime. Personally, I find it helpful to get the focalin working in my system throughout the day.
Hope this helps you some. Best wishes on your journey.
I take both, as they do have some contraindications it is important that you follow the guidlines set by your medical practicioner as far as what you should be avoiding at this time.
I have been on citalopram for many years and throughout have tried adderall , focalin, vyvanse and provigil with no notable issues or interactions. If the same Dr. wrote the scripts for you to take together he must feel certain that the combo is safe. I am currently on vyvanse, mor for wakefullness. God Bless!
I took 60mg Ritalin and citalopram together so shouldn’t be a problem. They work on different parts of brain x
