Focalin as afternoon booster

Hi, I’m on 30mg Vyvanse, which I usually take around 8am. It seems to work pretty well from about 9:30-2 or so but I find I need an afternoon coffee to stay focused and even that won’t be enough on the days that I work late. My dr suggested trying 5mg of Focalin around 2pm and that I don’t need to take it on the days that I have a shorter work day. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m a little hesitant to change anything since the current meds and dose have helped so much in comparison to before I started them.

I never tried those type of stimulants. But I take 27mg concerta and then 10mg of ritalin to get me through the end of the work day.
