ADD Az. Clinic
I never heard of it but I’m going to check it out.
Thank you! I read a little about it the Questions and answer section. There is a lot of methods I’ve never heard of that they use to test whether or not you have adhd. It’s interesting. I’m wondering how accurate these tests are. I’m in Tucson Az. When I was diagnosed in 2003, at that time I didn’t even know what adhd was when I went to my doctor. I went to him because I couldn’t handle/manage my life anymore, I always struggled and I got to the point I just couldn’t deal with it and I didn’t know what was wrong with me. After pouring out everything everything I was struggling with my doctor thought I had adhd and had me try medication to see if it helped and it worked.
Not pleased with the np. whom I met,Carolan. Not very professional. She didn't even read my file after I filled it out. Didn't really spend that much time talking with me. Just about what I have taken and currently taking in medications . Even after I told her which ones didn't work she puts me back on one of them.
Today after my appointment with a np. at the ADD Az. clinic felt like a waste of time. The first thing she says to me when she meets me. " .....Do you have a son?"
No, hello? or how do you do? and my name is ..... Wtf?! I answer, hello, no...I don't have a son. I don't have
Kids. Whatever happened to manners from nps'. (Nurse practitioner).
No, counseling or group meetings but they do have referrals and testing for ADHd. The np. asks me what medications I take, which ones I have taken for ADHd . I tell her which ones I have taken and didn't work. NP. ordered Ritalin and Adderall at the pharmacy. I told her I didn't like Ritalin because I didn't like how it made me feel. I was willing to go back on Adderall am. & pm. I'm not taking Ritalin again.
I'm just so sick and tired of dealing with such rudeness and lack of compassion, & not listening from doctors and nps'.
I hope something good comes out of this.
I just started going there two months ago and so far so good. Doctor was very understanding about the issues I was having with my last doc, who wasn't very educated about ADHD in my opinion, and I am glad that I switched over to a specialist who actually knows what they are doing and how to help. I was having issues with my medication not lasting long enough throughout the day and my previous doc didn't want to do anything about it but the docs at this place will. So if that's an issue you're having as well then I would strongly recommend that you make an appointment with this place.
