Hi,
Has anyone got any recommendations for books with practical advice on living with adult ADHD that doesn’t primarily focus on medication? I’d like to find a book that focusses on lifestyle change and non-medication ADHD treatment.
Thanks

Hello Hidden
I love getting new books on ADHD strategies/coping mechanisms as it helps me feel more in control of what I have. Two I recently purchased from Amazon are "Thriving with Adult ADHD: Skills to Strengthen Executive Functioning" and
"10 Simple Solutions to Adult ADD: How to Overcome Chronic Distraction and Accomplish Your Goals (The New Harbinger Ten Simple Solutions Series)." Of course, I haven't been able to focus enough to get through them yet. What helps me is setting a timer for about 20 minutes or so each day and getting through a couple pages/a chapter and trying to fit any new strategies into my routine. It helps so that I don't get overwhelmed by the information.
That’s great I’ll check them out! I particularly like the idea of 10 simple solutions... blimey I can complicate what to have for lunch sometimes so anything with ‘simple’ in the title is hopefully going to draw my attention. Thanks
