Communication and expressing how I feel.

I have a hard time expressing how I am feeling. No matter what the feeling, situation or to who. Sometimes I won't even realize how I'm truly feeling until a day later. How do I Express what I'm feeling? But I feel so lost because in the moment of things sometimes i dont even know what I'm feeling. Then comes anxiety and I become negative and down on myself. I need help. Any ideas, books, or audios would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes, writing about feelings I have recognized after the fact has helped me better articulate what have later felt in similar moments. Obviously, “YMMV”...good luck!

I have found that meditation/mindfulness have helped me get a handle on my emotions. Just a few minutes a day is making a big difference.

I have also started journaling and that’s been helping me keep track of what caused my feelings as well as the feelings themselves.

I'm in agreement with the other replies that writing and keeping a journal does seem to improve an understanding of yourself. The process of putting it down slows the rush and maybe can help you notice patterns of behavior. Good day.

Try doing a little meditation everyday. I have struggled on how to do it right and would give up but after watching a utube from how to ADHD she made it so simple in fact I didn’t think what she says she does to meditate was meditating but I like it and I can do it. I can’t relay what she said and I don’t know how to discribe it but it’s simple. Watch her videos. She’s fun and helpful

Beating ourselves up all the time is very in unhealthy and it doesn’t Make is better. I’m working on self care and when I catch myself putting me down. I talk to myself and say kind things about me. We need to stop being so hard on ourselves if we want to get better, so make an effort to love yourself flaws and all and know that your trying and that matters
