Hello, my name is Daniel, i'm a primary Care Physician from Medellín, Colombia who's aspiring to become a neurologist.
(Long post ahead)
I was initially diagnosed with ADHD when i was 7 years old, i was prescribed ritalin but due to difficulties for follow up mixed up with fears from my parents, my mother suspended it and i basically had to learn how to live with it for mor than 20 years. 2 months ago. Due to several things going on my life (girlfriend break up, got a new Job, Mandatory rural service in a difficult area, lots of night shifts) i snapped, basically, i developed a Generalyzed Anxiety Disorder (Currently on Luvox), during the follow up withy my psychiatrist ADHD came out, and i was finally diagnosed once again and recently started ritalin 10mg simple (i've had it for like 2 months)
the change has been very positive and i'm feeling much better but i would like to learn as much as possible for additional strategies, advices and experiences .
My country doesn't have much awareness for this condition, there are still a lot of prejudices and poor awareness of the real problem it can represent during adulthood and even in childhood.
Specifically
-Medication tiritation
