Roaccutane and B12

Hi there I started 20mg of Roaccutane yesterday. First 2 weeks 20mg and then it increases to 40mg.

Can I take B12 with Roaccutane? Does anyone know please? I don’t see my consultant until next month, so would appreciate if anyone can advisements, through their own experience. Thanks

Hi!

Just seen this, are you a vegetarian or vegan? If not then you should be able to get enough B12 from your normal diet without needing supplements? (as long as you don't have any underlying problems that mean you need extra B12)

if you are vegan or even vegetarian sometimes it is very difficult to get an adequate amount of B12, as the best sources of B12 are animal products such as meat, fish, seafood, eggs and dairy. B12 is really important for your nervous system, and deficiency can cause problems but you usually have a few weeks before you need to start taking it so if you are very worried you can probably wait to see your consultant.

Have you seen your consultant yet? What did they consultant say?
