I'm 47 years old and my son is 7 years old in August 2023 he was diagnosed by Kaiser Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician with ADHD and Anxiety school is a huge issue currently he doesn't know how to read because he only spends 10-15 minutes a day in class and I'm looking for support so I can be the best mom I can be.

If he needs more support with school, you need to start by asking for a 504 plan or an IEP. It should address both the behaviors that are keeping him out of class and the need to catch up in reading.

I presume the paediatrician has discussed medication with you.

ADDitude magazine (online) is another resource.

Guidelines for management of ADHD in children also recommend Parent training. There are a number of online courses and you may find recommendations for face to face groups through CHADD. Although not specific to school well worth considering. The more you understand about ADHD the easier to advocate for your son.
