Hi Everyone! My name is Christopher Pelz, and I am a PhD student at the Institute of Education at University College London. I am reaching out to you because I am interested in conducting research on monolingual and multilingual children (ages 7 to 10) with and without ADHD

I am exploring the potential positive influence of controlling multiple language systems on cognitive and behavioural development. Ultimately, I hope to see an improvement in ADHD symptoms as a result of this unique linguistic experience.

The study will test participants on 4 measures of executive functioning using computer games. This first session can be done completely online. The second session (predicted for a later date), will incorporate electroencephalography and will require being in-person in London

If you are interested, or might know someone who is interested, please contact me at: christopher.pelz.18@ucl.ac.uk, or please sign up using the links on the recruitment leaflet. I can always provide more information, and thank you very much for considering!

I have also attached a photo of my recruitment advert for your reference:

Hello. I applaud your effort to identify what positive influence learning a language has for students and /or children with special needs. I teach first grade students in a dual language Spanish/English (80%/20%) classroom at J.W. Gates Elementary School in Aurora, IL. I also have an 18 year-old son, Daniel, who attended a dual language Spanish program and got diagnosed with trichotillomania, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and ADHD in 2019. Bravo!
