Stimulants and non stimulant combo question..

Does anyone have any information regarding the combination therapy of Clonidine with a stimulant?

*** Geeky medication question warning ***

To be specific, I want to understand how Clonidines mechanism of action (post and pre synapitally attentuating NE) works if stimulant therapy is initiated with it?

For example, if clonidine lowers the levels of available norepinephrine, will taking a stimulant selectively raise available dopamine levels but not norepinephrine, as it normally would in monotherapy?

I’m not sure about the science behind it, but Focalin and Clonidine have been a good combination so far for our 8 year old. We went through a few duds to get here, but this combination keeps her mostly comfortable and focused through the whole school day. She couldn’t make it through a school day before we started this combination.

I would like to know the answer to this question too! Adderall worked really well for me but caused high blood pressure. I was curious if I could take the adderall and clonidine
