Music as Therapy to Help with ADHD

Just wondering if anyone has used music as therapy to help your child with ADHD. Playing piano, singing, etc., has therapeutic and long-lasting positive results. If you have used a music therapist, would you recommend the process to others? Thanks!

We have our son in piano lessons. He likes it and it is good for his attention and impulse control. It has been good for him…but that’s not to say that rock climbing or swimming wouldn’t also be good for him! He is not in music therapy, just in lessons. He will sit down and play songs on his own on the piano. I’m glad that we are doing it and I do think that after years of doing lessons, it will help him with his ADHD management. I do think it will take years, though.
