My 31 year daughter has ADHD and is engaged her stepmom and father are threatening to sue him for rape and other things can they do this?

They want to sue your daughter's fiance? I suppose they can try to sue him, but the question is do they have a case? If your daughter denies being raped (and, as a woman in her 30s, statutory rape is not an issue) then I can't see the case moving forward. Are they trying to say that because she has ADHD she is unable to make a decision on her own? Also--no case.

She is an adult. Sounds a little impossible to me. Guess they want to ruin her relationship with them?

Because of ADHD? Because he's 31 and she's a minor? Too vague.

But as a paralegal I'll say that you have to have standing to sue. What did they lose that can be fixed with money? Sounds like nothing. They can file whatever lawsuit they want but that doesn't mean it will go anywhere
