I am googling different things to learn about ADHD for my 8 year old daughter and google told me this:
"The caffeine in tea can reduce one's fatigue, increase people's self-confidence, motivation, alertness, vigilance, efficiency, concentration, and cognitive performance. This report proposes that tea consumption maybe an effective active treatment for adult ADHD"
Has anyone tried a cup of tea in the morning? Maybe with some honey so they would drink it?

Hi! I’ve been wondering about giving my son caffeine in the mornings as well. He seems to have a very slight improvement when he has matcha green tea (more alert, able to focus for a short period of time), but I haven’t tried it consistently. Matcha has other benefits as well and he loves the taste. Trader Joe’s has a good mix, although definitely not as much caffeine as coffee.
Hello! My 11 year old son enjoys a cup of coffee every morning. It startles adults, but we put some sugar and half and half in and he loves it. There is some evidence base for caffeine helping with ADHD symptoms (not sure how much effect from one cup and he doesn't always drink it). As long as there are no cardiac issues, there are no bad side effects from a cup of coffee and I think it makes him feel grown up and important.
Hello!I have heard about this as well. Growing up I can remember my mom giving my older brother with ADHD “coffee milk” in the morning before school. I’ve never tried it on my son who is 6. He would probably refuse to drink it anyway. He’s never really had anything with caffeine.
