My oldest has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD I am taking him back in about 2 weeks as he just turned 5 and his symptoms have changed very drastically ik he is hyper active I think it's something other than ODD urine accidents have been common his whole life recently just started pull ups for bed time like 2 nights ago he's pooped himself though the last 3 days not sure what's going on scared my big boy is going to need diapers again.

I do not have exact experience with my sons having trouble controlling their bladder during the day, but my older son was slower to be able to go the night without having accidents so he just wore overnights until he was 5.I would recommend asking if there any specialists in your area and if so, get on the waitlist as soon as possible. One specialist group had a 2 year waiting list!

AdditudeMag has a lot of good referrals.

I hope they'll be able to get some treatment for him that helps. I am a single mom also, of 2 boys and it is really really hard! Sometimes it's hard to accept that our kids are developmentally delayed and it seems like most parents don't have such difficult things to do deal with, but know that you're doing the best you can!

Thank you, yes it's very hard everything down to the looks I get in public I have really bad anxiety myself so it makes it that much harder for me I get panic attacks Everytime we end up staying inside and going crazy often just because I feel like I can't do it

I had to stop taking my kids to the larger playgrounds because my kids had such bad meltdowns. We usually go to the creek and I let them throw rocks and swim. Being in nature and not having so many other kids to deal with really helps. I also had to sign them up for martial arts because the playgrounds were such a battle. I had to learn to accept their limitations and not worry so much about the judgment but it's really hard.
