Son with paper and pencil in hand- “How do I spell the word ‘name’?”
Me: “N-“
Son starts writing...
“Oh nuts, I just drew a pair of pants.”

That is classic! I also love when my son is doing home work and "accidentally" goes in to the kitchen and feeds the cat.
I think my daughters teachers love to torture me with assignments lol. Her social studies teacher assigned a 10 min video on the African desserts and various animals you can find there and she was to find just 3 that interested her. To another student this may have been a piece of cake.....to my ADHD daughter this was TORTURE! I had her sit in my room with me while I worked quietly on my computer and she attempted to sit through what seemed to her to be this 72 hour video clip. She changed seats, positions and locations in my room at least 40 times, with the computer in front of her, on her lap and even laying on the ground with the computer above her face at one point. She must have stopped 20 times to tell and ask me the very many thoughts that came through her head, my absolute favorite being "mom do you think I've ever seen the same bird twice". To which I can't help but laugh and redirect her for the 60th time back to her video.
But by the end of the 10 mins she couldn't even recall 2 of the animals in the video.......I always use this example when I talk to doctors about my daughter, and she'll call me out of it but it's the exact reason I finally decided to seek professional treatment for her and now we are trying to navigate the in's and out's of internet learning because it is OH SO CHALLENGING for both her and I.
My son asked me how to spell ADHD!!
Too funny!
