I have a question my 8 year old son is now on vyvance and kapvay what cold medicine is safe to give him? Hes been up all night with a runny nose needless to say ive gotten no sleep but he is very much awake

I would call.your advice nurse or speak to the pharmacist. I think I remember antihistamines are but.

It is even harder when they don't feel well.

Check with your pharmacist. They will let you know what is safe to take.

My son always has cold and allergies. I do not give any meds if it's viral unless he has a cough which I give Larabee cough syrup. For the cold and runny nose I just run the humidifier, give him tea with honey, and saline nose spray morning & night and elevate his head with more pillows to promote drainage. If he has trouble sleeping I would give melatonin. But always check with you doctor ofcourse about the meds.

Thanks for the suggestions I called and he can only take ibuprofen i also took him in to be seen his doctor said that too many of the cold and cough medicine interferes with the clonidine/kapvay
