Antihistamine Hydroxyzine for anxiety & ADHD

My 9 year old who has Anxiety, ADHD & speech impairment has recently started taking a non addictive Antihistamine prescription called Hydroxiyzine. After one week of taking a low dose twice a day we have noticed some positive changes. His aggression has subsided drastically while on the medication. He is more talkative and doesnt seem to get as frustrated when speaking(he tends to stammer from anxiety). It has only been one week that hea been on it. Im hoping to hear from other parents if they have any experience with their child being on this drug. Any info is appreciated!

My daughter takes that when she is feeling really amped up. It makes her pretty sleepy. We call it the emergency medicine.

Ma_ma_mommy I realize this is a very old post, but I am wondering if Hydroxyzine ended up working for your child? We are about to try it, and I'd love any feedback you may have.
