Genetic testing for customization of meds?

I have read on this site that some people have sent in a DNA sample of their child to get it tested to see which medication category their child metabolizes best. The test apparently helps take some of the guessing/trail and error out of finding the right medication. Has anyone done this? If so can you recommend a company that performs this service and recount your experience with this approach. Thank you

I did testing for my daughter. Supported what all had suspected. Gave me the scientific proof I guess In needed. $$$ though. Didn't really ask for it, just got ordered.

I am sure this information is helpful, but then there is dosing, timing and metabolism to all think about..

What it told me was there is a specific enzyme working overtime to deplete dopamine. The medicine recommendations where typical, and what we wete already using. But, understanding the chemistry behind what causes my daughter to be the way she is, was priceless. I can share with you, private message me.
