My 10 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD in 2016. We have been on 4 different doses of Focalin, the latest being 25 mg. I have removed all red dye from his diet, caffeine intake is limited, yet he is still struggling in school, social settings, and home. What else can I do?

ADHD help
My daughter is 11 and has ADHD and also is on focalin first 10mg then got switched to 15mg and now on 25mg but the first time taking the 25mg she started having chest pains so I did not give it to her again we will be meeting with her doctor next week to talk about different medication she was on Ritalin years ago and it worked amazing for her but she started getting headaches so we switched her but she still has headaches here and there so I'd really like to give Ritalin a shot again seeing how well it treated her ADHD I agree with you focalin does not work well and from what I've read online has some very serious scary side effects way more then any other stimulant medication I wish the best of luck to you and your son I know how hard it is dealing with all this I don't think it is anything that you are doing or that you could do my daughter has been on Ritalin Adderall and focalin and the focalin so far has been by far the least effective and like I mentioned before has the most serious side effects
Sounds to me focalin may not be for him. Every kid is different My nephew takes it and it is the only medication so far to not give him migraines and it has helped him with his focus it, however, has started to fade in it potency and we are close to having to switch. And I am terrified to change
