Have you experienced this with your child when taking a Concerta? My 6 yr old has always went to bed at 7:30 and slept till 5:45-6am. Since he started Concerta this last weekend he can’t fall asleep and when he does he wakes up at 4am or sometimes earlier.
Have you tried melatonin?? My sister in law swears by it. I feel so bad for him. 
I used melatonin with concerta for my daughter and it helped her fall asleep.
I use both Melatonin and Valerian with doctor's ok. A lot of medications can cause sleep issues.
Im going through the same thing my son is 5 almost 6 hes been having nightmares also he takes clonidine at night his doctor said try melatonin with the clonidine the concerta has him wide awake😭
He has slept through the night the last 2 nights. Tomorrow is only a week since we started the medicine though. I worry about the nightmares. So far he said he hasn’t had any dreams. I’m worried he won’t tell me!
You will know my son wakes up screaming for me and he wakes up extremely hungry around3am just make sure your child is eating that medicine made my son not hungry at all
Aww. He is eating so far too. He was always a huge eater.. so much energy burned I’m sure. He isn’t snacking as much but eats all his meals. Fingers crossed.
