My son is 6 years old, we are looking into medications for him but is a difficult choice for us to make. Our biggest difficulty is with negative behavior at school, what works best for other children at school for impulse control?

I am looking into gene testing as well. Husband doesn't want to medicate. I didn't at first, but I feel with our daughter and the older she gets the worste she gets worse and is effecting her work at school.
