An IEP is for kids who qualify for special education. A 504 gives kids who are having problems modifications in the classroom but does not put them into the special education department of the school system.
A diagnosis from a physician of ADHD can qualify a child for an IEP in special education. Get more access to counselors, mentoring, classroom aides etc
