There is a free app, downloadable charts and is a fab way to get involved in citizen science, helping with understanding the health of our beautiful, fluttery friends in our gardens and other areas.
So why not walk to your favourite spot and spend some time there to count butterflies!
It's brilliant, isn't it. I take part every year ☺️ We have some in the garden but I'm looking forward to walking in the meadows near the village, so many different butterflies there! 🦋🥰

Last year we had a few butterflies near the lavender and ivy in the back garden. This year I've seen one in my garden and one in one of the meadows around the village, that's it. Very worrying indeed 😔

I have done a couple of counts so far but it’s been cloudy so not seen that many butterflies so far
Yeah, I’m also still waiting for a sunny and hopefully butterfly-rich day.

I saw this on TV yesterday, downloaded the app. Will have a go.
I haven’t see any butterflies 🦋 this summer as well. Maybe if it gets warmer.
