Hello - new here with a pain question

Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm glad I've found it.

I have a nerve condition in my leg called meralgia paraesthetica which is neuropathic pain.

I've been prescribed gabapentin for it but didn't like it with side effects and it didn't seem to help.

I take 1x50mg tramadol as needed, I can take 8 a day, when it is bad and it hurting a lot again at the moment. I don't like the tramadol a lot either although it does help with the pain.

I was wondering if the drug pregabalin may help better than gabapentin, and enable me to not have to take as many painkillers?

Has anyone any experience of meralgia paresthetica?

Any advice much appreciated 💗

Pregablin all day long for me. I'm suffering with autonomic neuropathy and peripheral neuropathy damage. Doesn't cure it but helps
