I have been given 5mg Butrans patches because my GP felt that having constant pain killer in my body would be better for me instead of Dihydrocodeine and for the first 3 days they were great, still took 6 tablets a day as well for breakthrough pain BUT they have now said it is to be patches alone, nothing else and already I am having periods of severe chronic pain which the patch can't take away - there is no going back to my trusted painkiller so suck it up!!
