Hi all, I have a long story but won’t bore you all! I would like to know if anyone's remnant has grown over the years? I’m 14 years post surgery, a small piece left round the facial nerve (sadly I still had nerve damage and a palsy) - I am deaf on left side, my balance isn’t great but I’ve learnt to live with it-life goes on.
just wondered -does the tumour re grow?

I had regrowth after gamma knife in 2012 and had translab approach surgery in 2021 after regrowth. The surgeon left a small bit as it was wrapped around my facial nerve. I am interested to hear what others say.
I had surgery for a large tumor in Sept., 2021, then Gamma Knife for a regrowth 6 months later. I had an MRI 6 months after that which showed no new growth. I am also dealing with balance issues and some facial palsy.
I am 35 years from the onset of my first surgery (1988) aged 21 and the tumour regrew as it was in close proximity to the spinal chord and couldnt be taken away , i had a resection in 1995 ( labyrinth approach) then again in 2002, ive had scans every 1-2 years since and it has been stable and showing only minimal growth. But like you i have consequence of loss of balance, total loss of hearing also thrown in the mix is dry eye, cant swallow on one side with right side body weakness, but hey ive learnt to adapt .
