Hi, I lost my hearing in my right ear and have since tried various over the ear hearing aids but with no success. I’m waiting on an ENT referral to see if an implant on the bone behind the ear can help and have been advised it can only help if there’s some hearing to work with in the first place. I wonder if anyone else has gone this route with success?

Hearing Aid / Implant
I too have same problem. But there is no solicit answer, whether my hearing will improve. They just say slowly it will improve which is a vague answer.
I have complete hearing loss on the left side. I’ve tried having cochlear implant with no success. I’ve looked into bone bridge implant which transfers sound from left side to the right side hearing which makes it sound like you are hearing from the left side when reality it still one side hearing. Just doing more research on bone bridge and waiting since I got my AN removed 1 1/2 ago and cochlear implant surgery attempt done 6 months ago. I definitely was looking forward to having the cochlear implant rather than bone bridge. At this point I’m in no hurry to go through another surgery as I’m getting use to just hearing from one side. Hope this helps. Definitely do more research on the different types of hearing devices, because both cochlear and bone bridge are completely different.
