Tumour growing again?

I have had small AC for 20 years . It has been on watch and waitb for 3 years and has not grown. I am due to have regular scan next July 2022. Recently have been bothered with hot feelings and soreness down side of face and ear. Unpleasant. No temperature. Is this a sign tumour is growing again and would this happen after such a long time?

Hi FlossieOne of the questions I get asked at my telephone appointments for my AN is have I experienced any numbness / tingling to my face. I wonder if it would be worth ringing the team you are under and mentioning. It may be that they would offer you an earlier scan or suggest keeping your July appointment. At least your mind will be put to rest. Take care xx

Hi Flossie74, yes it would be good to mention to them. My symptoms were pain through the ear and facial numbness with loss of hearing. You could ask for the MRI to be brought forward to see if it has grown. All the best.

Have been to doctor to check if anything else wrong. Seems all OK Has referred me for earlier scan.

I get pain sometimes. What drives me crazy is the loud T in that ear that got stirred up and won’t quit! Do you have that also in that ear. Mine is 2mm small but on hearing nerve! Unsure if causes hearing damage. Removing is risky.

Yes totally understand about the tinnitus in that ear, it was so loud it used to make me jump when I was driving but in time your brain gets more used to it. After surgery I have found I have a different tinnitus that is much softer, barely notice it now

I do hope that’s the case that it gets more settled
