Experience after Gamma Knife

I underwent gamma knife surgery in 2000 in Los Angeles. I had earlier undergone two retromastoid craniectomy Surgeries in Pittsburgh by Dr Peter Janetta. Unfortunately I had five cranial nerves involved so the facial pain was the worst part. Gamma knife did relieve most of the face pain however I suffered a stroke in August 2001. My body is definitely weaker, my balance is still pretty bad,lost hearing in my right ear and have trembling if my left thumb.

Did you have GM because of regrowth ? I had AN surgery last year and have recently started getting mouth burning pain again. My trigeminal nerve was displaced by the tumour and surgeon thinks the pain am getting is due to scar tissue on the trigeminal nerve. They are going to do MRI to check although I would prefer not to have GM as the pain isn't unbearable like before surgery it's more worrying that it may be regrowth. Hope you're strength keeps improving
