To my knowledge the size of the neuroma is less important than the position in which it is growing.

Hannibel:

Yes, location is important, especially if it is in the narrow bony vestibule between the brain and inner ear; referred to as a vestibular schwannoma (VS). I had one that in less than a month crushed the innervation and blood supply to my left ear (which had perfect hearing). It all went down from there. Make sure that your AN is not a VS and if so, get it removed via gamma-knife immediately.
