Hello Everyone

I am new to health unlocked.

Over the years I have been diagnosed with several conditions. I have just seen an ENT consultant due to getting noises in my left ear. Sometimes it is a low pitched noises but the one that troubles me the most is a noises that sounds like a popping, tapping or drumming sound. The consultant is sending me for an MRI which I an having next week. I have already convinced myself that I have Acoustic Neuroma. Some of the symptoms that I experience are dizziness, fatigue, headaches, tingling/numbness down my head and face. I feel pressure in the side of my head, my eyes and head tend to go fuzzy or out of focus and I have to do give myself a shake to get back on track.

I have put some of these symptoms down to my other conditions and medications I take, but now I am thinking otherwise.

Regards

Your symptoms do seem very similar to AN but try not to worry about something before it’s confirmed. When you have a diagnosis you are not worrying for nothing and can then become pro active. Good luck x

Your facial nerve is very close to your 8th cranial nerve and an AN can press on it causing facial dysfunction. This is something that should be looked into immediately before your facial nerve (and all facial functions) are compromised. It is important to get an MRI asap.
