I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago with AN it was a scary shock, I just thought I had lost my hearing in my left ear! I am coping at present and have just seen a consultant who recommended watch and wait, I think it measures 14mm, the tinnitus drives me mad!!! Any tips to help the tinnitus? x

First of all don't panic! Secondly, I'm sorry to say that at present there is little to be done about tinnitus apart from learn coping strategies - It does reduce with time though. Thirdly educate yourself so you can make you own AN related decisions (with the aid of experts) in the future and not be pushed into any treatment you may feel is inappropriate for you. I doing ok work keeps me busy, thank you for asking, I live in Suffolk, under Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge, I have read it one of the biggest skull base clinics in Europe so hoping for their expertise, next scan will be in March so need to try to manage this tinnitus
