Hi Laura
That sounds really tough. Have you spoken with your health visitor (or midwife if you are still under their care) about how you're feeling? There may be extra support they can offer. Or you could contact HomeStart which is a charity that supports families by visiting and assisting. I am on Sertraline (200mg) and find it takes at least 5-6 weeks to begin to have an effect although the side effects (headaches, nausea, insomnia) start straight away! :s I have depression, anxiety, social anxiety and panic attacks and, yes, I shake a fair bit to varying degrees.
I hope you feel better soon. Give yourself a break and accept any help you can with the baby and housework. Postnatal illness is not uncommon (I am a midwife so I can vouch for this!) and there is support out there. It's hard when everyone expects you to be so happy upon the birth of your baby but you feel unwell, I know. But it's not your fault and it is not something to be ashamed of so I hope you have a good support network of friends and family.
Kind wishes,
