I've now been taking Sertraline for almost a fortnight, 50mg for the first week and now 100mg.
I had been made aware of potential side effects, one of them being trembling. I first noticed a tremor in my left hand yesterday, it wasn't too bad. Today I noticed the tremor in both hands, again not too bad. However I also had a strong trembling in my jaw. It came on about three hours after taking the tablets and for a couple of hours it was non stop. I then started to have a bit of control over it but it was still bad for another three hours or so.
Has anyone else had this? I've found it incredibly annoying and after a while my jaw started to really ache. I'm worried that it may also damage my teeth.
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can stop it?

I think every anti depressants have some sort of side effect???
I was on sertraline for a long time I was slightly trembly especially in my hands ..with it being a fortnight and your at 100mg this could be a way of showing you it's kicking in full time give it a day or 2 if its continuous then go back and just ask your doctor if it's a side effect
I have an appointment with my GP on the 17th so I will tell him then. Thankfully things have settled down somewhat. I can control the shaking in my jaw most of the time and it seems to be getting less of a problem each day. I think what made it worse on the first day that it happened was that I was unprepared for it even though I knew shaking was a possible side effect. It got quite distressing as it sounded like I had a numatic drill in my head. That and the fact that I now have really bad jaw ache means I've not had a good few days.
Hiya, hope you ok, no I don't think it the sertraline I'm on 200mg daily, been on 50mg when pregnant to 100mg 150mg and where I am now. To be honest I've been on several antidepressants and I find sertraline really good for anxiety and depression, it ain't connected what you going threw ... Xx
It is a possibility that you are right, I've had problems with my jaw in the past. I have to be careful when I yawn because if I open my mouth too wide I can cause dislocation. This is a bit of a problem when for the past couple of months I've found sleeping to be a problem and I'm almost permanently tired.
I'm glad to hear that Sertraline is working for you. I have to confess to being worried that I'm taking it.
Hope you’re well. I’ve just started sertraline and noticed my jaw and left hand trembling. I’m not sure if it started before or not, pretty sure it started after taking the meds.
I’m really scared it’s parkinson’s! My health anxiety, which I’m taking the meds for, has came on tenfold. Did your tremors clear up after a while?
