Mental health

Hiya.
I'm so sorry that you've had such a terrible childhood. Many people have difficult memories, but for you to feel depressed and anxious as an adult you must have had an awful time- how dreadful for you!! I wonder if you are suffering from PTSD- post traumatic stress disorder? This can cause huge anxiety, flashbacks, panic attacks, feelings of anger and guilt- does any of this sound familiar? Just remember that there is hope, and there is lots of help available to you.
Please go and see your GP. They will listen to you, and be able to refer you for therapy and counselling, which I promise you will be hard but will really, really help. You'll be able to talk about what happened to you, and give you coping strategies in order for you to deal with your past. If you get the chance of group therapy as well, please take it- meeting people who have had similar experiences can really help you feel that you're not alone. Keep in touch, let us know how you get on. You are not alone, you will feel better, you are at the start of a road of recovery and healing, I promise x
