Is there any recommendations / or any information about self mood assessment? Some kind of psychological evaluation. Can you avoid seeing a GP and see another doctor? It would mean a lot if you can help.
Question : Is there any recommendations... - Above & Beyond - ...
Question

its best to not do a self diagnosis or self assessment. We are not aware of how to deal with underlying issues that have caused depression or other mental health issues so only an expert in this field can slowly do this and help you recover but on the basis you are able to try and help yourself. When you say avoid seeing GP and see another doctor i assume you mean seeing a private therapist outside of NHS? if that is the case then I can't see why not. it will cost you tho. I believe with any therapist who deal with mental health issues they will want details of your surgery and GP. their assessment will indicate to them if you are a serious risk to harming yourself, someone else that could result in a criminal offence and this is an obligation they have to follow.
having said all of this, your GP surgery is there to help you. is there any particular reason why you want to avoid seeing your GP?
is there a reason you dont want to go through your gp........depression can be a mind field there are classic symptoms
go on the website counsellor directory there are lists of counsellors in your area but it will be expensive x
The reason I am avoiding GP is that my family shared same doctor as me despite confidentially between patient and doctor.
Well my reason for the question is that I've experienced and went through bad patches most of my life. Mentally and emotionally. Even my mind can't moved on and that when I'm unhappy it hit me bad and sometimes really bad. normally once or twice a week. I noticed my emotion can be hell loose and sometimes too much for me to handle. Even mood swings. Etc etc etc. Every time it triggers the same emotion from past and brings flashbacks.
Basically I'm looking for doctor to help me to recognise the situation I'm going through. I've never seen a doctor or spoke to specialist but I'm am prepare to see someone. What's your opinion?
yes its a good idea to talk it through if it keep coming up it needs dealing with .....if you dont want to see your doctor then go on google and type in counselling directory....its a list of counsellors that you can look through and find someone in your area.
your gp can not discuss you with your family members they can be struck of or it...they can set up counselling for you free but it takes time...if you find your own then you will have to pay x
also dont forget this site has counselors too so email them hun
