I have tried so many things including amitrypytine which hasn’t worked but made me feel awful. I have had it for near 5 months and it’s driving me mad. I am going to try saliva replacement next
Thank you
Hi there - obviously don't know your age - could it be hormonal / menopause related?
Burning mouth syndrome started when my periods stopped, early menopause.
Loss/imbalance of hormone profile, particularly estrogen depletion affects all membranes of the body, eg. eyes, vagina - and the mouth. Burning mouth improved considerably when I was transdermal HRT.
