Hi All, I have a question which I hope someone can answer.
I had a heart attack back in 2020 and 3 stents fitted. I am a 58 Yr Male and have always tried to keep myself reasonably fit and active (Obviously not too well! ) - I have resumed training and am doing weights twice a week (Monday and Friday - Not big weights but quite a few repititions) and Cardio on a Wednesday (Up to 30 miles on a bike.)
I would like to know is how can tell if I am doing myself any harm with this kinda traning progam. Whilst I feel kinda OK (I have always tried to drain myself when training, even before the HA (I still think I am 20!) ) I sometimes get out of breath just holding a conversation, but when I am training, seem to be no more short of breath than the next guy, and don't feel like I am running out of breath.
Has anyone else come across anything like this? (I will be honest say that since HA, some days I still feel invinsible and others that the slightest twinge anywhere in my body is the start of the end! - Illogical I know, I just cant help it!)
Anyway, and replies will be gratefully received and read.
(I don't want to bother the doctors with something that is trivial (And couldnt get in to see them anyway!)
Thanks
