Confused - Not internet savy

I find this who process very confusing. I have worked a lot with word processing on the computer, but when I get advice and I try to follow it, I am still not finding what I am looking for. Is there any where that I post what my weight was today, and then next Monday update? I have seen that I need to keep a diary for each day, I am not sure where to find that. It is just about enough that I am almost ready to give up, and it is just my first day.

Hi Weldon60 try this link to help you

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and look for the section that reads

To find these areas, follow this link to How the Forum works, which has a series of posts, including pictorial guides. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You are ultimately looking for the Daily Diary page which is saved under 2 headings

Pinned Posts and

Events

I am sending this whilst on a bus so hope it works!

Thanks, I did a pinned response, that is where I recorded my starting weight. I also did a diary post for the day.

Ah, just seen what you did. Not quite what we mean. Hang on a minute and I'll try and advise

Hey there.

Honestly, the software on Health Unlocked stinks. I would pick another website if I could, but the community here is amazing, so I have to put up with it. I have been here for a few weeks, but am only getting the hang of it now.

The weekly weigh ins are a new thread each day, so there is no permanent link to it. You have to look at pinned posts

But so you can post today healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You will need a fresh link next Monday, but by then you may have got more of a sense of how everything works.

Note it closes 9pm UK time, so that's in just over 2 1/2 hours to add your weight.

This should take you to a Guide with pictures which I hope will help.

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

The Admin team on here (volunteers who are also on weight- loss journeys) like you, have to deal with the site as set up by HealthUnlocked so apologies for the difficulties but usually with time most people can find their way about. Hope the links help you find the Weigh In and Daily Diary but ask again if you get stuck.

🤞 !

Hi Weldon60! It is confusing but stick with it, it does become clearer each time you're in the site 😊

Thank you. I finally did write a pined response and a first daily diary post.

I agree with that. I found it very confusing trying to find the weekly weigh in. Stick with it and it will get easier. The support on here is superb and worth persisting.

One more thing: the Write button at the top of each page starts a new topic/thread. If you want to join an existing topic, click Reply straight under the original post.

If you want to answer a particular comment, click Reply under that comment, then the person you are replying to will get a message you have replied to them.

Similarly clicking the heart ♥ under a post sends a message to the that person that you liked what they said.

Hi Weldon60-you are not alone when it comes to navigating the site, I am reasonably competent at day to today stuff, banking etc on line but a complete novice when it comes to this type of usage. I still struggle a bit but probably because I don't spend a lot of time or effort on it! I dip in and out over the course of the week and look for the weigh in each time I want to log. I look at the site a bit like dieting- it takes effort and work but you get rewards. In the case of the site it is support and encouragement from others who are striving to make things better for themselves whether for medical or personal reasons. Stick with it, it is worth the effort and frustration!! In the process we will both hopefully acquire a new skill when it comes to using technology!

Hi and welcome you don't have to keep a diary everyday but some people do find it helps them plan their meals and get ideas. You will find the weigh ins under events each one starts at 9 pm the night before ( UK time) and closes at 9 pm on the day to allow for overseas members which I see you are from your pic. There's also an Easter challenge on at the moment to loose 7 lbs by Easter again you will find that in events and that's a weekly weigh in and most people sign in on their weighday. Good luck
