I've lost 19lbs in 21 weeks. I'm aiming for 4 stone, though 3 stone will just about get me into a healthy BMI (I think! I'll check again when I get nearer ;) ). I try to avoid setting time scales and just try to keep heading downwards and eating healthily.

I'm following the NHS plan and learning as I go along. I've followed a lot of advice on here and have really cut down on carbs and increased natural fats. I aim for the middle of my calorie range, currently around 1600 cals. I enjoy my food and don't let myself feel deprived e.g. I'm in a community choir and we have a cake stall each week to raise funds; there are some fantastic cooks (not me) so I allow space for a fabulous cake on Tuesday evenings.

You might like to look in on the Daily Diary. You'll see how people with different calorie allowances, and those not counting calories, balance their meals out during the day.
