Hi Biddy, I don't know if you've noticed, but we've launched our Newbie Club today and you would be very welcome to join

Go you!
As well as the scales, get a tape measure and measure you upper arms (mid way), chest, waist, hips, mid thigh & calves since even if you don't loose weight you may be losing inches or cms- its one of the things I regretted that I did not do this because though when I look in the mirror I know I have lost inches at various parts of the body I have no proof apart from able to wear clothes now that I bought over 10 years ago. Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy using it
I'm the same RG07 I only have a waist measurement which was the most important one.
It's very motivating seeing the numbers change Biddy58 😊
waist measurements are all I have because that was all that was required for the 12 week plan. As an aside, how do you access the emojis to add to messages?
I freaked out last night when I got on the scales on I was just over 14st - I have never been that before. Am cutting out the alcohol, increasing the exercise and trying to eat sensibly.!!!
It's only a number Biddy58 , it doesn't define you. It may have given you some added incentive to get going on a healthy eating plan now. You have already made some sensible decisions. Make sure you check the BMi counter to see what your calorie range is and then just start planning your meals with in your range. Start at the highest and work your way down until you find what works.
You can do it, good luck
Is it better to go by the BMI calories or stick to 1400 per day (which I can just about do but struggle sometimes)?
