Would I lie to you … Charles and Eddie

Charles Pettigrew apparently died of cancer in 2001 at the age of 37. He was recording with Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth of Tom Tom Club around the time. Eddie Chacon is still alive. His most recent musical effort involves a duo with his spouse Sissy Saint-Marie.

Look into my eyes, can't you see they're open wide?

Would I lie to you, baby, would I lie to you

Don't you know it's true

Girl, there's no one else but you

Would I lie to you, baby, yeah

So to tell you the truth I have put on a little weight this week rather than lost some. I know it is not the end of the world, but I thought I better tell the truth with the scales, my weekly check in and most importantly you good people; hence my choice of songs this week.

I could say the reason was after several contracts with lots of promises of permanent work at the end of them I have finally had a confirmation my contract is confirmed, my work is up-to-scratch and I am now settled in a permanent role. Well as permanent as modern society permits. The McDonalds on Friday was a personal celebration … the cookies on Friday night was a family celebration … the meal at Ask over the weekend was overindulgence but I am over the moon.

Oh yeah

I am still alive and I have time to lose those two pounds again!

Good luck with your ventures.

Hi Johnny-One

2lbs gain certainly is not the end of the world and it sounds like you had some celebrating to do with your new job, congratulations on getting the contract. Your gain can soon be turned around now that you are back on track.

Have a great week.

Yes. You still have the chance to get it back together and you will.

yay! a new job contract. Many congratulations. 2lb is not a huge amount but get back onto it and it will soon disappear. with the job market being so tough it was a well earned time of celebration!
