This is my ten year old German Shepherd, Macy.
Despite her advancing years, she's lost none of her energy or her neuroticism, for that matter. Loyal and loving but incredibly over-protective.
We were taking a small break in between tug-o-war while she posed for the camera.
Macy is looking very relaxed and beautifully groomed. How long before she came back with tuggy?

Thanks very much. She'll be going to the groomers for a Xmas spruce up shortly, as the hair on her paws resembles that of a hobbit.
As for 'fetch' she picked it up as soon as I put the phone down.

Very photogenic! I have two German Shepherd neighbours and constantly marvel at their behaviour. They are obedient and loyal and clearly adore their family. They even queue up at the door on a wet day and patiently wait to be dried off. Macy Is beautiful. By the way, did she let you win the tug-o-war?
Not likely; she occasionally gave it up, but remained in control for the most part. It is fun watching her trying to gain traction on the laminate flooring, though.
Much like your neighbour's German Shepherds, she's incredibly well behaved, but has her moments when she's walked. If strangers step too close inside her circle of protection, she feels inclined to let them know by barking at them.
