I have been quite good since Sunday, after losing 2.5 lbs due to illness (yay sickness bug!) I am scared to death of that creeping back on so Sunday I did half an hour boxing, ate well Monday but no exercise then yesterday ate well did a HIIT dvd & felt great, then not so helpful hubby brought me in a glass of wine which he KNOWs I follow with crisps 9 times out of 10 - I can't help myself, though this time I had French fries (cheap calories) I had gone over by now but this didn't stop me eating 5 party ring biscuits too!!! Why the hell I did this I don't know I could smack me sometimes!!! So question is do I write a line under yesterday or account for the deficit today by eating under my daily calorie intake (which I'm not going to lie, will kill me!) 😊

A bit of advise for the day after the 'bad' day
Hi Lakes25,
I'm rushing this morning, as I am working today, but just spotted your query, and my own personal view on your query would be that just drawing a line under yesterday would be better than depriving yourself today. So, just think of today as a fresh day, and go for it - if you eat under your recommended daily calorie range, you're more likely to go hungry and potentially over-compensate. But try to keep things that you don't want to over-indulge on out of sight, and pre-plan your meals and snacks if you can, to ensure you have a better day.
Others might have suggestions too, or different approaches, but I thought I'd share my thoughts on it.
Good luck!
Lowcal
My husband took a bit of training to not automatically do things I was trying to change. Like putting sugar in my tea! Now he asks before adding it in. I've had to sit down and have a chat with him a few times to explain what I needed him to do to support me. But I think it's finally getting in there!
So far as the rest, I agree with Lowcal, you should just put a line under it and move on today. These things happen, it's life. And even though I also feel like kicking myself when I slip up, we're all human and never going to be perfect! For me, it works best to take it one day at a time. I can usually cope with one day! It only starts looking daunting if I think about long periods of time.
I think it's a matter of finding what works for you and keeps you motivated.
Good luck! I'm sure you can get back on track. We've all been there and will be cheering you on over this hump.
Thank you! My hubby does make me laugh as he is so good in other ways (like letting me batter him in a boxing session!) but then just 'forgets', it's because he works nights(permanently) and so sees his night off as I would a Saturday night, so thinks I should join him in 'celebration' of his break of a night shift run, obviously I don't need a lot of persuading on having a cheeky glass, i just have to control myself on the munchies after! Thank you for your advice X back on it today, thinking of going on a run,but it is raining (excuses!!) to try and counteract the overeat - plus if I know I have to run every time I over eat I'm less likely to do it lol 😊
